The Three Pillars of Our Dance Program

Our program is designed to offer you skills, confidence and community to thrive in the dance world. If you're ready to take your dance journey to the next level, we’re here to help you make it happen.

While hosted at Sweet Burlesque’s studios, this is not a burlesque education and stands apart from Sweet Burlesque’s evening classes. Instead, this independent program offers a wide range of styles – from jazz and contemporary to showdance, commercial, and burlesque – in a supportive and inspiring environment.

1. Dance & PaTHWAY

Learn techniques from various dance genres to strengthen your expressive abilities, improve physical fitness, flexibility, and gain a deeper understanding of the dance world. You'll also receive valuable insights on future opportunities, with expert advice and know-how to help you shape your own path in dance.

2. Creative Community & Personal Expression

Join a supportive network of fellow dancers, where you can discover your unique creative strengths and explore your artistic potential. Develop your choreography and freestyle skills and gain the confidence to express yourself fully through dance.

3. Stage Presence & Performance opportunities

Gain the tools to become an expressive performer, stand out on stage, and build confidence in your presence. You’ll also have the opportunity to perform on real stages, gaining valuable experience and becoming stage-ready.

what will you learn

SB Dance Program is a 9-month training experience that combines dance & pathway (different dance styles), creative expression (freestyling, choreography, and community), and performance skills (stage presence and live shows) to help you grow as a dancer.

  • Ballet, Jazz, Contemporary, Hip-Hop, Heels, Commercial, and Burlesque are just some of the many dance styles offered at SB Dance Program.
Each genre brings its own unique style and energy, giving participants the opportunity to explore their creative expression through movement. Special focus is placed on developing stage presence and a strong sense of performance within these styles.

  • Every Tuesday, a new guest teacher introduces a different dance style or genre, giving you the chance to explore new techniques and broaden your dance experience. It’s all about gaining as much knowledge and feeling for dance as possible throughout the 9-month program.

  • Improvisation & Freestyle Training, which encourages spontaneous creativity and personal expression, plays a crucial role in developing a dancer's unique style. Choreography & Composition focuses on the intricate art of designing dance sequences that tell a story or convey emotions. Additionally, Stage Presence & Real Stage Opportunities involve the essential skills needed to captivate an audience, along with providing actual performance experiences that enhance confidence and stagecraft.

  • Learn to build Self-Confidence.
Navigating the many paths of a dance career requires not only technical skills but also a solid foundation of self-confidence. Through guiding conversations and reflective exercises, participants will have the opportunity to explore their own strengths and challenges. This will help them develop a deeper understanding of themselves, which is essential for making informed decisions in their dance careers.
