If you have watched 'Moulin rouge', 'Chicago' and like the movie ‘Burlesque’ with Cher and Christina Aguilera, then our dance classes are just the thing for you!
At Sweet Burlesque you learn how to dance Burlesque. Our Burlesque classes begins with a warm up on chairs. Chairwork is a training concept of which we use chairs in our best burly manner. This way students quickly get comfortable dancing and moving around the chairs.
Through the season you will learn the basic Burlesque moves as well as how to dance with and use different props such as gloves, cane, hat, etc. In the classes we will teach you different choreographies over a period of four weeks, so that you really get the hang of the choreography. The goal is for you to have fun and to prepare you for our big main show in April!
We promise that you will gain lots of confidence and be able to express yourself through dance in a safe and fun environment, where there is room for everyone. At the same time, you will improve your body awareness, achieve a better posture and get to feel the fabulous woman that you are. We mostly dance in bare feet except in Heels and Streetjazz classes. We keep our clothes on, so come in whatever clothes you feel most comfortable in.
+ Fandance
This classic Burlesque Showgirl class focuses on improving posture, flexibility, performance skills, splits and handling the feather fan whilst learning a routine that will truly ‘WOW’ the audience! You will learn how to move and act as a true showgirl and handle the technique of Feather fans. This class gives you a boost of confidence and can tribute to make you stand a little taller in everyday life!

+ BURLESQUE MOVIE DANCE CLASS
Have you seen the movie Burlesque, and are you dreaming about becoming a showgirl like Christina Aguilera, then this class is for you. This class is for you who have no or little experience with dancing Burlesque, but loves the music from the movie Burlesque. No dancing experience is required - but we encourage you to bring a smile and an eagerness to learn! During the season you will be taught the art of Burlesque to songs like 'Tough Lover', 'Express' og 'Show me how to Burlesque', as well as learn more about yourself, your body and you inner Cher. Most of our students leave every class with a smile on their face and a fantastic feeling in their bodies and we hope you will do too.

+ BURLESQUE BEGINNER
Burlesque Beginners is for you who have no or little experience with Burlesque. No dance experience is required - but we encourage you to bring a smile and a eagerness to learn!
During the season you will be taught the art of Burlesque, as well as learning more about yourself and your body during the amazing dance class. Most of our students leaves every class with a smile on their face and a fantastic feeling in their bodies and we hope you will do to.

+ BURLESQUE INTERMEDIATE
Burlesque Intermediate is for you who have danced on Sweet Burlesque beginner classes for at least two or three seasons and now are ready for a new challenge! We expect you to know the most common basic steps of Burlesque. before entering this class.
You can also join this class if you have some dancing experience from other dance genres and can follow choreography easily.
In this class we will study the basic technique and facial expressions - this is all about helping and inspire each other! Focus will be to make your moves, steps, balance and timing better when dancing burlesque- in that way you develop your dancing with style.

+ BURLESQUE ADVANCED/advanced +
This class is for you who are ready and eager to challenge yourself with more advanced Burlesque dancing. We will focus on charisma, musicality, stage presence and performance.
This class is for advanced dancers who have been dancing for at least 3-4 years and feel confident about their body and knows the basic steps of Burlesque.
NEW! As something completely new this season, we are opening up Advanced+. This class is for students who have already danced for several years at the Burlesque Advanced class at Sweet Burlesque and are now ready to move up a level. The level at Advanced+ is high and preliminary for our Pro class. You therefore need to be ready to be challenged in more ways than your usual class and on a much higher level.

All Sweet Burlesque dance teams are open to all women regardless of age. But if you are over 40 and prefer to dance with other women of the same age, Fabulous 40 is the team for you! Our Fabulous 40 team has been a huge success in previous seasons, and we are looking forward to opening up a new season with sexy dance moves and delicious togetherness. Fabulous 40 is open to beginners as well as intermediates, and is set up like our other burlesque teams. The class starts with an intense warm-up, followed by training in choreography in various genres and with various remedies.

+ Lyrical Burlesque
This class merges the dance genre lyrical with Burlesque. Look forward to trying out our brand new class where you will learn to tell stories through your dancing. The lyrical genre originates from ballet and jazz, and most often one uses lyrics and emotions to express oneself through movement. If you love contemporary, modern, lyrical and also burlesque then this class is just the thing for you!

+ Femme Fatale
We've all seen them in movies and read about them in books. The Femme Fatale character, a mysterious, beautiful and sensual feminine person who enchants everyone around them. In this class we will explore the feminine strength through dance, as well as how it can be expressed in different ways. We work a lot with attitude, creativity with dance and our relationship with the body. The class will take place as a normal burlesque class, where remedies and tease are an important element. We will dance to all kinds of music genres, everything from Rock to Pop Level: Everyone can join.

+ Burly Broadway
Have you always loved musicals and dreamt of singing and dancing on stage?
Then the opportunity is here now for your wish to come true. In our new Burly Broadway class we will take you through some of the most iconic and famous musical routines such as And all that jazz, Big Spender and many more thrilling choreographies! + Chairdance/floorplay
ChairDance/FloorWork is a new concept that teach you how to dance sexy on the chair and floor. At this class you will only learn choreographies on the chair or on the floor. This class might include dancing in heels, use props, etc. just like our other classes. The class oozes of sensuality. It’s definitely a good way to spice up your everyday life with delicious moves, feminine vibes and sensual movements and a good amount of "feel-good". ChairDance/FloorWork is dance lessons with focus on movements and choreographies and is not the same as ChairWork which is more a though workout.

This class is for you who are ready and eager to challenge yourself with more advanced Burlesque dancing . We will focus on charisma, musicality, stage presence and performance. This class is for advanced dancers who have been dancing for at least 3-4 years and feel confident about their body and knows the basic steps of Burlesque. The class is for those who seek challenges and want to do Burlesque more than on a hobby level, as this team also will get the opportunity to perform at shows and events. No basic steps will be taught at this level.

+ Heels Intermediate
Heels is Burlesque in heels, where the focus is on the feminine vibe and sensual movements. This class will be challenging, fun, sexy and allow you to increase your wardrobe with even more heels than before! Heels are the best way to work with your facial expression, fierceness and get in touch with your inner diva on the dance floor. You decide the inches of your stilettos and you can always challenge yourself with a higher heel.

+ Heels for all
Join our Heels for all class and give yourself a boost of energy! This class oozes of sensuality and is great way to spice up your everyday life. The class will be starting with a chair warm up and then we will go straight to choreography in heels. There will be new choreography every time and you will also receive tips on how to walk in heels. You do not have to start in heels and you decide the inches of your heels.

+ CHAIRWORK/floorwork
In this class we focus on performing tricks on the floor and the chair. We look at the technique in depth and focus on building muscle strength and flexibility to perform the different tricks. During the season we will incorporate the tricks we learn into a tricks choreo. This class is for all fitness and flexibility levels and you do not need to have previous experience with performing floor and chair tricks.

+ STREETJAZZ
Streetjazz is for you who loves to dance and simply can’t stand still when the music is playing! Streetjazz is a genre with features elements from hip hop, house, LA STYLE mixed with traditional jazz. Warm up will be a mixture of technique, grooves, etc. as well as floor exercises. We will make sure that the class level will be suited after the students needs. Afterwards a choreography will be taught. We promise you lots of groove, great music and cool choreographies!

We are here to tell you: YOU ARE ENOUGH - You are sexy enough, beautiful enough, magnetic enough, interesting enough. Sensual Seduction is a class for you, where you will learn to feel comfortable and sexy in your own body – you will be getting full sensual seduction from you to you! Through guidance and exercises you will be able to seduce like never before! We will increase the feeling of feminine spirit, feeling free, feeling great in your body and love and accept your own magnetism.

Heels Advanced is for you who are ready and eager to challenge yourself in dancing in high heels.
This class is for advanced dancers who have been dancing for at least 2-3 years and feel confident about their bodies and have experience in dancing in heels. Heels Advanced is for dancers who wants to be challenged while having fun. This class will be challenging, fun, sexy and provide the opportunity to increase the wardrobe with even more heels than before! Heels Advanced is the best class to work with attitude, technique and timing while you get in touch with your inner diva on the dance floor.

+ SWEET BURLY GROOVE
Every Friday we invite you to an hour of fun dancing! This class is especially for you who may not have the opportunity to join our regular classes or for you who just can't get enough of Sweet Burlesque and would love to kick-off the weekend with more dance and sensual moves.
Our Burly groove classes will vary from week to week. Each Friday will have a new topic and new choreo - and our amazing teachers will take turns at kicking off your weekend!
This class is meant to give you an extra break in your everyday routine where you can come and have fun, enjoy dancing and start the weekend full of energy and good vibes!
